General (Student Visa)
We can guide and assist you to apply for entry clearance as a student if you are aged 16 or over and want to come to the UK to study.
The requirements are as follows:
- You must have received a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies from an approved institution.
- You must score at least 70 points on the points-based system.
- You can financially support yourself in the UK (and any family members/dependents who will be joining you).
- You must be a genuine student and meet the genuineness test for student visa;
Child (Student Visa)
This is for children aged between 4 and 17 years old who wants to come to the U.K to study. Usually, a parent or guardian will apply for a (child) visa on their behalf. To qualify for this type of visa, the child must have a place at an educational establishment with a sponsor licence.
There is a requirement for the parent to demonstrate that they have sufficient funds to pay school fees for one academic year and support their child’s living costs in the UK.
Short-term Study Visa
This is usually for people that have secured admission to undertake a short course of study in the UK such as an English language training course. This visa enables you to attend this course. Short-term Student Visa is valid for up to 11 months.
The requirements are that the course provider must be an accredited institution and you will need to provide evidence that you have sufficient funds to pay your course fees, maintain and accommodate yourself during your time in the UK.
