Types of Work Visas

Skilled Worker Visa UK
The Skilled Worker visa category is for foreign nationals who have been offered a skilled job by a UK employer holding Skilled Worker sponsor licence.
Health and Care Worker Visa

You can apply for entry clearance for health and care worker visa if you are sponsored by NHS, an NHS supplier or a care home to do an eligible job in the UK.

Tier 2 Minister of Religion

You can apply for T2 Minister of religion visa entry clearance if you have been offered job as minister of religion, missionary or member of religious order within your faith community.

Intra-Company Transfer (ICT)

You can apply for entry clearance for ICT visa if you are an existing employee of a multinational employer who needs to be transferred to their UK branch, for training purposes or to fill a specific vacancy that cannot be filled by a settled either on a long-term basis or for frequent short visits.

Sole Representative

You can apply for entry clearance for sole representative visa if you are the sole representative of an overseas company, intending to set up a wholly owned subsidiary or register a UK branch for an overseas parent company. The employer must have its headquarters and principal place of business outside the UK and the company must have no other branch, subsidiary or representative in the UK. The UK branch or subsidiary will operate in the same type of business activity as the overseas business.

Tier 1 Investor
You can apply for Tier 1 Investor visa entry clearance if you have £2 million to invest in the UK stocks and shares. The Tier 1 (Investor) visa category is for high net worth individuals making a substantial financial investment in the UK. You must have access to at least £2,000,000 (£2 million) in investment funds to apply for Tier 1 Investor visa. If the money is not held in pounds sterling you must convert its value into pounds sterling on the application form. The Home Office, UKVI will check the conversion using the exchange rate shown on the Oanda website (https://www1.oanda.com/currency/converter/) on the date on which the application was made.
Investor visa holders are permitted to work, study and engage in business activities. They can also be accompanied or joined by their dependants. The Tier 1 Investor visa typically leads to settlement in the UK after a period of 5 years. Accelerated settlement is available to Tier 1 Investor visa holders who invest more in the UK.
Global Talent

You can apply for entry clearance for Global Talent visa if you work in a qualifying field and have been endorsed:

  • as a recognised leader (exceptional talent)
  • as an emerging leader (exceptional promise)
  • under the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) endorsed funder option

You can apply for a Global Talent visa to work in the UK if you’re a leader or potential leader in one of the following fields:

  • academia or research
  • arts and culture
  • digital technology

You must also be at least 18 years old.

Start-up Visa UK

Start-up visas are one-off visas, valid for 2 years and the category does not lead directly to settlement in the UK.  However, Start-up visa holders may extend their stay in the Innovator visa category and qualify for ILR three years later. Start-up visa applicants can bring their partner and any children under the age of 18 to the UK.
You can apply for entry clearance for Start-up visa UK after your business idea has been endorsed by a UKVI approved endorsing body and you have received an endorsement letter. As a result of a successful entry clearance for Start-up visa, you will be granted UK visa for two years.
